The founding father of the college Shri Sahu Ram Swaroop Ji - A towering personality Honourable Sahu Ram Swarooop Ji is an eternal shining star. In the midst of material richness, Sri Sahu Ram Swaroop ji kept a strong hold on wisdom and uprooted the orthodoxy of society by taking steps for women empowerment. He used his wealth as per the tenants of dhrama and took up the noble task of embellishing and uplifting women by creating means for them to gain education to cast away their, illiteracy and fight exploitation. He has played a vital role in re-shaping the personality of women in Bareilly. Sahu Ram Swaroop Mahila Mahavidyalaya is the most apparent result of his mighty efforts. This College, from its beginning has been continuously performing its duty of the providing quality education to women coming from different strata of society..

From the point of view of social welfare, he established the Sahu Ram Swaroop Dharmarth Trust, which currently runs three educational institutions

  • Sahu Ram Swaroop Mahila Mahavidyalaya
  • Smt. Chandrawati Suraj Autar public School

- All three being the pride of the city of Bareilly.

His spirit continues to inspire the Sahu Ram Swaroop family to strive towards achieving new heights in the sphere of women education by adding new facilities and constant innovations.

Walking in hands with Shri Sahu Ram Swaroop Ji, Kunwar Suraj Autar played a crucial role in the College’s development. It was due to his efforts and commitment that the college scaled new heights of progress and growth as the land for expansion of college campus was acquired. Today the college is greatly indebted to him for his contributions.

Kunwar Om Avtaar ji carried the torch of his father forward and with his dedication, untiring efforts and commitment, the college scaled great heights during his tenure. He was a huge driving force behind the growth of the college as a revered center for women’s education.

It is to his credit  that the college holds the distinction of being the first college in Uttar Pradesh to  apply  for UGC- NAAC accreditation.

 Keen for a holistic development of the students, he ensured that the college encourages students participation in extra- curricular activities through Sports and Yoga. We collectively salute him for his untiring efforts to raise the overall standard of girls education in the college.
